Ziora Advisory

⎯  Employment Law & People

Between law, people
and business.

Not simply employment lawyers. Not simply HR consultants. Ziora sits deliberately between the two.

⎯ Why Ziora?

Advice grounded in law,
shaped by commercial
judgement.

Traditional employment law firms tend to see workplace issues through a purely legal lens. General HR consultancies bring people expertise, but without specialist legal grounding. Ziora sits deliberately between the two.

Our advice is grounded in specialist employment law expertise, shaped by commercial judgement and a people advisory mindset. Clients instruct us because they want advisers who understand the legal framework and the realities of managing people in a business.

We support organisations across the lifecycle of workplace issues: helping them prevent problems, address concerns early and respond effectively when something has gone wrong. That may mean providing strategic advice before a dispute escalates, facilitating an early resolution, conducting an independent investigation or advising on the appropriate next steps once the facts are established.

As an SRA-regulated practice, we bring consistent professional standards, legal expertise and regulatory accountability across that work. Our focus is on resolving workplace issues well before tribunal proceedings become the only remaining option.

What you can expect from us:

  • Clear advice. Complex issues deserve straightforward answers.
  • Direct recommendations. We tell you what we’d do, not just what the law says.
  • Commercial judgement. Every recommendation weighs legal risk, business objectives and operational reality.
  • Thoughtful challenge. Where we think there’s a better path, we say so.
  • A focus on resolution. We look for constructive, proportionate outcomes wherever possible.

We solve problems. We don't create them.

Founder and Principal Solicitor

Elizabeth Alowosile

Elizabeth is the founder of Ziora People Advisory and an employment solicitor with experience spanning private practice, in-house legal teams and international professional and financial services organisations.

She trained and qualified at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where her experience included secondments to leading global financial institutions. She later moved in-house, advising as EMEA employment counsel within the Office of General Counsel of a leading international law firm.

Elizabeth advises on complex employment and workplace matters, including employee relations, organisational change, restructurings, grievances, discrimination concerns, senior exits, workplace policies and broader people risk.

She has led and coordinated significant cross-border employment projects, working with senior stakeholders and local counsel to align jurisdiction-specific legal advice. This has included balancing differing legal requirements, commercial priorities and local workplace practices to develop clear and workable approaches for international organisations.

Having worked both in private practice and in-house, Elizabeth understands that technically correct advice must also be practical, proportionate and capable of being implemented by the business. She is known for bringing calm judgement, clear thinking and a thoughtful but commercially focused approach to sensitive workplace issues.

Elizabeth holds a First Class law degree and a Level 5 CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management. She is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is a CEDR-accredited mediator. Her combined legal, HR and dispute-resolution perspective shapes Ziora’s approach to resolving workplace issues.

Our story

It is thorough, carefully hedged and legally robust. It sets out the options and the risks attaching to each, but can leave the decision — and the practical challenge of implementing it — entirely with the client.

Ziora Advisory was built to close that gap.

After nearly a decade advising employers, our experience has shown that the advice clients value most is rarely a recitation of the law. It is a clear recommendation: one that weighs the legal position alongside the commercial stakes, operational realities and the people involved.

We also believe that workplace conflict should be addressed before positions become entrenched and formal proceedings take over. When a concern first arises, employers need somewhere to turn for informed, objective advice on what has happened, what matters most and how the situation might be resolved.

Sometimes that requires early, evaluative discussions designed to test the issues and identify a workable resolution. Sometimes the facts are disputed or the concerns are too serious to resolve informally, and an independent investigation is needed. Once the position is clear, we help the organisation determine the most appropriate and proportionate way forward.

That belief shapes everything we do. Employment law and workplace relations are our specialist focus, by design. We are not trying to be a full-service law firm. That focus allows us to advise with depth and to become a genuine extension of our clients’ leadership, legal and HR teams.

Our role is not to prolong disputes or steer clients unnecessarily towards litigation. It is to provide legally robust, commercially realistic support from early intervention through to resolution. Where a matter appears likely to escalate, we advise on prospects, risk and next steps, and work alongside specialist counsel where advocacy or tribunal representation is required. That belief shapes everything we do. ⎯  Our Approach

Straightforward advice.
Commercial grounding.
Long-term thinking.
Five principles run through every piece of work we do:

Commercially grounded

We never advise in a vacuum. Every recommendation takes account of legal risk, commercial objectives, operational realities and the wider business context.

Straightforward advice

Complex workplace issues don’t require complicated advice. We explain the legal and practical considerations clearly, give you a recommendation and help you decide with confidence.

Resolution-focused

We help employers move matters forward — the objective is always a practical, proportionate and sustainable outcome.

Specialist by design

Employment law and workplace relations are our sole focus. That specialism gives us depth across the legal, people and organisational dimensions of workplace issues.

Long-term thinking

The right outcome should address the immediate issue without creating avoidable problems later. We consider the wider implications for culture, precedent, employee relations, reputation and the long-term health of the organisation.

Where possible, we help clients resolve issues before they become formal disputes. Where something has gone wrong, we establish the facts, provide a clear assessment and help the organisation move forward with confidence.

⎯ Who We Help

Organisations and decision makers who want a recommendation, not just an opinion.
We advise employers across sectors, structures and stages of growth. What our clients tend to share is not a particular size or industry, but the need for clear judgement on people issues that matter commercially, legally and reputationally.

International businesses establishing or expanding into the UK, or managing employment issues across borders.

Established and mid-market organisations navigating growth, change and complex employee relations matters.

Financial services and regulated businesses, where discretion, seniority and regulatory context matter.

Professional services firms managing partner, leadership and senior-level issues.

Founder-led, owner-managed and high-growth businesses building people practices that can scale.

Charities, not-for-profit organisations and other employers requiring specialist support on sensitive or high-risk matters.

The people who instruct us are typically HR leaders, general counsel, founders, CEOs, COOs and other senior decision-makers who need clarity quickly and advice they can act on. We also provide independent settlement agreement advice to employees.
